Meet Jamie
My Pilates journey began in 2021 — not as a career plan, but as a necessity.
Running had started to leave me with constant aches and pains, and I knew I needed something different. I signed up for my very first Pilates class and was instantly hooked. At the time, I was a busy single mom with two young boys and a dog at home, juggling a full schedule and doing my best to keep everything moving forward. The once-a-week membership was all I could afford, but I made it work — carving out that one hour each week just for me.
That hour became everything.
It was a place that felt like a second home. A space to breathe, clear my mind, and reconnect with myself — something I didn't realize I had been missing.
Eventually, the studio owner and instructor asked me a simple question:
"Have you
ever thought about teaching Pilates?"
My answer? Absolutely yes.
I began teacher training and spent months teaching family and friends two to three times a week, learning, practicing, and building confidence long before ever stepping into a paid class. When the day finally came to teach officially, I stacked the room with supportive friends because I was so nervous.
But the moment I started teaching, something clicked.
For the first time, I felt completely like myself. Teaching gave me a confidence I had never experienced before — the ability to help others feel stronger, more capable, and more connected to their bodies, just like Pilates had done for me. The energy, the connection, and the joy of guiding others simply poured out — and it has ever since.
In 2024, I earned my Comprehensive 500-Hour Pilates Certification, training across all Pilates apparatuses. Today, my goal is to create the same welcoming, supportive space that first changed my life — a studio where everyone feels at home, seen, and empowered.
Because sometimes one hour can change everything.
