Your First Visit to Pumpkin Pilates

Starting something new can feel exciting — and a little nerve-wracking. At Pumpkin Pilates, our goal is to make your first visit feel comfortable, welcoming, and stress-free from the moment you walk through the door.

You don't need experience or special skills — just come as you are. We'll guide you through everything.

Before You Arrive

Please arrive 5–10 minutes early for your first class so we can welcome you, show you around the studio, and introduce you to the equipment.

To keep everyone safe and protect the studio equipment:

  • Grip socks are recommended and available for purchase at the studio (regular socks are not permitted for safety reasons)
  • Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in
  • Please tie long hair back for safety
  • Claw clips should only be worn on top of the head, as clips behind the head can affect spinal alignment when lying down and may damage equipment
  • Remove loose jewelry or rings, including large earrings, bracelets, or necklaces with stones or decorative pieces
  • No gum during class
  • No earbuds so you can safely hear instruction and cues
  • Please place phones on silent unless you are on call for work or need to remain reachable for little ones at home

Water is provided for you — just bring yourself and an open mind.

What to Expect

Your instructor will guide you step by step through class. Pilates is not about perfection or keeping up with others — it's about learning how your body moves and building strength safely.

During class you can expect:

  • Clear demonstrations and supportive coaching
  • Personalized attention in a small-group setting
  • A calm, welcoming atmosphere
  • Time to breathe, reset, and focus fully on yourself

Many clients are surprised by how strong and relaxed they feel after just one session.

New to Reformer Pilates?

You are exactly where you belong.

Reformer Pilates uses spring resistance and controlled movement to build strength, improve posture, increase flexibility, and support injury prevention. Every exercise can be modified, making it accessible for beginners while still challenging for experienced clients.

No prior Pilates experience is needed.

Our Studio Philosophy

Pumpkin Pilates was created to feel like a second home — never intimidating or overwhelming.

Here, you are free to:

  • Learn at your own pace
  • Ask questions
  • Make mistakes
  • Celebrate progress, big or small

Movement should build confidence, not pressure.

After Class

You may notice muscles waking up in new ways — that's completely normal. Most clients leave feeling taller, stronger, and more connected to their bodies.

Many say their Pilates hour quickly becomes the best part of their day.

A Note From the Founder

I remember walking into my first Pilates class unsure if I belonged. That one hour changed everything for me — and Pumpkin Pilates was created so others could experience that same feeling of strength, calm, and connection.

We're so glad you're here.
